Whether you are an SME or a supranational conglomerate, you need to identify an effective strategy to transcend risk and complexity when dealing with issues as diverse as climate change or Brexit. This is a session that spans three hours split between lecture, workshop, feedback and peer to peer mentoring sessions.

The event is aimed at those with strategic level responsibility whether within small or large organisations.  

Speakers:

Emma Parkinson

Emma is Senior Lecturer in Emergency Planning and Management at Coventry University, where she delivers programmes on integrated emergency planning crowded places and risk management. Before becoming an academic, Emma specialised in crowd safety and large-scale security management, she continues to practice in both these fields as well as pursuing her research interests into near-miss reporting and the issues of risk management and emergency planning in temporary organisational cultures.

Wayne Harrop

Certified Higher Ed teacher currently teaching business continuity, risk management, crisis management and security management to industry resilience specialists from diverse multi-cultural backgrounds. Advanced experience of developing and reviewing business impact analysis, BCM strategy, policy, IMP, BCP, BRP, IMT structures, designing drills and exercises, maintaining and reviewing programme milestones against standards, compliance and good practice approaches. Proven ability to develop, maintain, and review Business Continuity Management Systems (BS 25999, and ISO 22301) having own three national awards for achievements in programme delivery, training and consultancy roles.
