Wolford Wood is a privately-owned working woodland. This rare 150-acres of scientific wood is protected and commercially managed for the benefit of the woodland habitat and its indigenous biodiversity. The woodland is classed as Ancient & Historic with plantation Ash and Oak. Hazel, Birch, Willow and Sweet Chestnut is coppiced to order and as part of a 30-year management plan approved by The Forestry Commission and English Nature. As a way to sustain its future, Wolford Wood can be booked as a venue for selected events and private parties.
